In t-minus one month I will be moving to Denver to begin Physician Assistant school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. I am sad to leave Boulder (& Brittany), but am excited for a change of pace! Here are some things I am looking forward to...
1. Any home is happier with live, green plants so I will be purchasing succulents to place around my new apartment. Luckily, this flora is drought resistant, so if I don't make it through finals at least these will!
2. My #1 goal of this year is balance. So along with studying and spending quality time with friends and family I am going to devote a chunk of my day to getting toned. P90X is a 3 month kick-butt workout routine that will hopefully help me gain a little muscle!
3. And of course I need to stay hydrated when I break a sweat. This nifty water bottle from hydracoach.com calculates and tracks your H2O intake!
4. Denver is packed full of amazing restaurants. One of my favorites, Steubens was introduced to me by my good friend Steve last summer. It's got a laid-back, modern diner vibe. My favorite appetizer is the habanero honey fried corn. So delish.
5. Before I start graduate school I am ordering a pair of these glasses. Not only does this New York-based company have the most up-to-date designs but they are philanthropic. For every pair of glasses you buy, one will be donated to someone in need. I tell everyone I know about this site: warbyparker.com
